Happy Birthday… to me!

Yup, today is my birthday and I turn 21! Yay me! 😉

(I know you’re seeing the number 22, but for my sake I needed Rob with me on my birthday so, you know… deal with it!)

Given the big occasion, and that I’ve been a succesful blogger for three full month (successful meaning I’m still here), I thought I could do a big giveaway.

What do you say? You agree? Yeah, me too!

I took my time picking the books I’ll be giving away. Since I live in Uruguay and taxes suck and I don’t have a job, I’ll be giving away ebooks, so yes, it’s international! YAY! 😀

Now to the list, and let me just tell you that they are all on my favorites list, so I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.

Are you ready? Yes? Let’s do this! Continue reading

Q: What is the BIGGEST word you’ve seen used in a book lately – that made you stop and look it up?

The Fault in Our Stars
By John Green
Goodreads | Amazon

Damn! This is a tough one. I’ve given it a lot of thought, and I’m still coming up blank. I don’t usually stop to check the meaning of big fancy words, because then I would have t stop all the time. You see, english is not my first language (for those that didn’t know), and so sometimes words come up that I have no idea what they mean, but I just usually figure them out by context. 😉

But if I had to go with one book that maybe made me think once or twice about  the meaning of a word it would be The Fault in Our Stars, by John Green. The dialogue is mind-blowing. Actually the whole book is. Why yes, it’s my favorite book, but I’ve said that before.

Now, tell me your pick! I look forward to learning new words today. Link me to your FF post on the comments, and let me know if you’re following me, I’ll make sure to follow you back! 😉

Also: I have two giveaways going on right now. Don’t forget to check them out! [Links on the right sidebar] 😉

Q: What hyped up book was worth all of the fuss?

The Fault in Our Stars
By John Green
Goodreads | Amazon

I would actually have to go with The Fault in Our Stars.

I had been following John Green’s youtube chanel (vlogbrothers) way before the book’s release, so I was excited about it yes, but the more I heard about it the more sacred I got about reading it. It was mainly because of the crying part —which I did a lot while reading it —because …you know… So, I ended up reading the book six months after it was released. And I do not regret a second of it. It is now one of my favorite books ever. It’s a special book, definitely. And so worth all the fuss!

Have you read it? If not, you should totally do it! But beware, it will make you cry and laugh like crazy. Now, tell me your pick! Link me to your FF post on the comments, and let me know if you’re following me, I’ll make sure to follow you back! 😉
